Aerospace Assets Stuka The Stuka, short for Sturzkampfflugzeug, was a German dive bomber used during World War II. It was known for its distinctive gull-wing design and the screaming sirens attached to its wings, which created a terrifying sound as it dove towards its target. The Stuka was used effectively in the early stages of the war, particularly during the Blitzkrieg campaigns in Poland and France. However, as the war progressed and enemy air defenses improved, the Stuka became more vulnerable to enemy fighters and anti-aircraft fire. Despite its limitations, the Stuka remained in service throughout the war and was used for ground attack missions on the Eastern Front and in North Africa.
