Panther Ersatz M10 The Panther Ersatz M10 was a German tank destroyer developed during World War II. It was essentially a modified Panther tank chassis with a modified turret to resemble an American M10 tank destroyer. The purpose of this modification was to deceive Allied forces by disguising the powerful Panther tank as a more vulnerable American vehicle. The Panther Ersatz M10 never saw mass production or combat, as the war ended before it could be deployed in significant numbers.
