Lotus 30 1964 The Lotus 30 is a sports racing car produced by Lotus in 1964. It was designed to compete in the Group 7 sports car racing category. The Lotus 30 was powered by a mid-mounted 4.7-liter Ford V8 engine, producing around 400 horsepower. The chassis of the Lotus 30 was a spaceframe construction, and the bodywork was made of fiberglass. The car featured a fully independent suspension with coil springs and dampers, as well as disc brakes on all four wheels. Despite its promising performance on the track, the Lotus 30 faced reliability issues, mainly due to its complex design and lack of development time. Only around 30 units were built before production was discontinued. The Lotus 30 is now considered a rare and valuable collector"s item, sought after by vintage racing enthusiasts for its unique design and historical significance in sports car racing.
