Halifax Bomber The Halifax Bomber was a four-engined heavy bomber used by the Royal Air Force during World War II. It was one of the main bombers used by the RAF during the war, alongside the Lancaster bomber. The Halifax had a crew of seven and was used in a variety of roles, including strategic bombing, anti-submarine warfare, and transport missions. It was known for its rugged design and reliability, and was used extensively in the bombing campaigns against Germany. The Halifax was eventually phased out of service after the war, with the last operational flight taking place in 1952.
