Ju 87 Stuka The Junkers Ju 87, commonly known as the Stuka, was a German dive bomber and ground-attack aircraft used during World War II. It was easily recognizable by its inverted gull wings and screaming siren, which created a psychological impact on enemy troops. The Stuka was used extensively during the early stages of the war, particularly in the Blitzkrieg campaigns in Poland, France, and the Battle of Britain. Despite being outdated by the later stages of the war, the Stuka continued to be used in various fronts, including the Eastern Front and North Africa. It was eventually phased out of service as more advanced aircraft became available.
