Jardiniere:
This word means a small table on high carved legs. Most often it is a stand for flower pots or vases.

Heridon:
Heridon is a table with a round table top, it usually stands on one leg. At the bottom, the leg may split into three parts, for greater stability. The base itself is usually relief carved. Can be a sculpture, for example, in the rococo era, the leg was made of ebony in the form of a figure of the Moor or Moroccan slave who seemed to be holding a tray on his head. A secretaire is a cabinet that includes many drawers, shelves and a writing surface. Thus it combines 2 in 1 or even 3 in 1. Convenient and as a desk, and as a place to store a variety of documents, stationery.

The first banquettes were needed for reception halls, so that during social gatherings and balls, ladies could rest from dancing. Later, the ladies of high society began to keep such benches in their boudoirs. And today - banquettes can be found in our ordinary homes and apartments.
They are often placed at the foot of the bed or at the dressing table, good as a place for changing shoes in the hallway.
